DESCRIPTION

The artistic work titled Habitat is a stunning exploration of the duality of existence, expressed through textile art, specifically traditional technique of double warp tapestry.

This piece serves as a dialogue between two contrasting places: the natural, organic side, and the artificial, pop side, representing the inherent opposites in life.

The natural aspect is symbolized through a neutral base, carefully woven and dyed with natural, earthy pigments. This part embodies the purity and authenticity of what is given to us at birth—our original, unaltered state.

In contrast, the artificial side bursts into life with 3D forms and vivid, synthetic and bright colors, symbolizing the masks and facades that individuals build as they navigate through society. These sculptural elements protrude from the surface, creating a sense of depth and dynamism, highlighting the layers of artifice that we accumulate over time in contrast with the organic tones on the other side.
